Juana La Loca is a cool pinxos bar located in the heart of the neighborhood, La Latina. It’s a bar that is known for their beautiful pinxos, and their delicious tortilla. It’s always packed with people, so be patient to find yourself a space at the bar, or call ahead and make a reservation for a table. The pinxos are significantly more expensive than a regular pinxos bar, but they are also larger and higher quality. Here is a full review of Juana La Loca in Madrid.
Juana La Loca
- Address: Plaza de Puerta de Moros, 4, 28005 Madrid
- Atmosphere: I would call this a ‘modern, upscale bar, with traditional twists’. I would not say this place is fancy, but it’s not the type of place you throw napkins on the floor. There is warm lighting, a beautiful counter showing the pinxos, and a lot of people.
- Type of Food: Pinxos and a few raciones. The pinxos are much larger than regular pinxos, and can be easily split between two people. HERE is the full menu.
- What I ordered: We ordered 3 pinxos to share- the famous tortilla de patatas, the roast beef, and the salmon. All 3 were delicious! We left satisfied, but certainly not full. Our bill was 26€.
- Recommendation: Make a reservation to get a table, or go on an off-peak night, like a Tuesday. Also, try the truffle risotto.
Rating: 10/10 for food and 9/10 for atmosphere (quite packed and very warm in the bar area due to the amount of people).
