WIAW: Nightmares.

Good day to you!

How is everyone’s hump day going?  Mine is going swimingly!  I slept absolutely HORRIBLY last night after reading the memoir of Jaycee Dugard– the girl that spent 18 years in captivity after being kidnapped on her way to school.  I read through each graphic scene and finished the entire book last night.  I couldn’t put it down because I just needed to know that everything turned out okay in the end.  It saddens and sickens me to know that there are people out there that don’t bat an eye when hurting other people, children and animals.  I had nightmares all night, but that was only for one night.  This poor girl lived a nightmare for 18 YEARS. Anyway…

I spent the morning shadowing my primary care physician and learned/ saw a whole lot!  It’s so interesting to meet all types of people with different symptoms and then watch the doctor put the pieces together and figure out what’s going on.

Snacks

After shadowing, I was hungry so I ate a snack on the way home.  During my errands yesterday, I stopped at Trader Joe’s where I picked up peanut butter crackers and chili spiced mango.  Made for a yummy snack!

Lunch

Lunch these days has been a salad with peppers and cucumbers, topped with a little somethin’ somethin’.  On this particular day, I had a thick slice of corn bread with a fried egg and laughing cow cheese.  Today I’m having salad with the usual veg and jalapeno cheddar cheese and then a small bowl of lentil soup on the side and I’m stuffed.

Snack

I know I will be hungry again, so I will probably have some mixed nuts, or a Greek yogurt with a handful of cereal and a clementine.

Dinner

This was dinner from a few nights ago.  Pretty standard and delicious, as per usual.

Brisket, brown rice with corn, mashed pumpkin, and a big green salad.

Dessert

Dessert as of late is a bowl of that perfectly creamy, tangy, tart, sweet, delicious YOGURT with Honey Bunches of Oats cereal on top.  Soooooo gooooooood.

Sorry I don’t have more photos to share!  I’m actually on my way out to go catch up with my dad and meet a very special someone.  Eeeeeek!  I’m excited.  I also plan to get to the gym and then who knows?!
