Good morning!
As I type up this post, I’m sitting here eating the world’s brownest breakfast:Oatmeal with cinnamon, coconut milk, banana slices, homemade apple sauce and peanut butter. With a side of more brown:Cuban Espresso and milk.
I threw all of this together in less than a minute because I just got back from the gym STARVING. That needs to be bold and underlined. My stomach was growling at the gym and that rarely happens.
Backing up to the gym this morning…
Workout:
- 20 minutes on the elliptical
- 12 minutes of jogging outside (it’s warm today! I’m wearing shorts)
- 3 minutes on the other type of elliptical
- 10 minutes on the first type of ellipitical
- 5 minutes on the second type
- 5 minutes on the first type
For a total of 55 minutes of [confused] cardio and then finished it up with abs and six sets of 10 pushups. I originally intended to use the weights today, but after 30 minutes of cardio, I wasn’t feeling it. Tomorrow!
Oh! And last night I made dinner for the family. I made Peanut Noodles with Mixed Vegetables and Peanut Sauce which was on my list of things to make over break! It was incredibly easy to make and received great reviews all around- verbally- and by the fact that three people finished almost every last bite. It’s definitely a recipe to use when you’re crunched for time. The hardest part was chopping the vegetables, but that took less than ten minutes.
I followed the recipe for the most part, but added bean sprouts instead of snap peas and added a block of tofu that I marinated with soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar and ground ginger.
I’m definitely going to make it again, since it would also be great for an easy and tasty lunch.
We also tuned in to Barbara Walter’s 10 Most Interesting People of 2013. Did anyone else catch that? They were all interesting interviews, but what is Duck Dynasty? And why wasn’t Honey Boo Boo on the list? Am I right, or am I right…?
I’m about to quickly shower before I head out for errands. I really want to get the ball rolling on painting my room, so first thing- painter’s tape. On the way, I am also going to try and sell a huge pile of clothes that haven’t been worn in forever. I also have plans to make lentil soup and a loaf of bread, but it all might be too ambitious.
Have a great day!
