You know what they say- better late than never, right?! It’s almost 9:00 pm and I’m just getting to this post, but I have been doing homework for eight hours. Yes, eight. Don’t worry, as soon as I hit publish, I’m putting on real clothes (as opposed to gym clothes) and going to Christine’s. Wooohooo!
Sunday: Rest day! We had Sunday brunch and then I slept the whole day. Much needed r & r!
Monday: 30 minutes of incline walking on the treadmill, followed by 3 sets of the following: lat pull downs, rows, incline press, shoulder press, chest press and abs (25 front crunch, 25 side, 25 side, 100 bicycles- x3)
Tuesday: 2 mile run. I honestly planned to do one to test out my knee, but kept going and felt great, seriousl GREAT until 1.5. It went downhill from there. I did another 15 minutes of incline walking on the treadmill followed by abs and called it quits.
Wednesday: Birthday= REST DAY.
Thursday: 1 mile run and then 20 minutes of incline walking. I worked hard to resist the itch to keep going and my knee thanked me. I felt very minimal pain, which was great.
Friday: 10 minutes of incline walking, 5 minutes of jogging, 10 minutes of incline walking, followed by an ab workout and abs.
Today was the first time I have gone to the gym all week because Russ accidentally took my ID and no ID means no gym. In all honesty, I’ve been feeling a little burnt out at the gym. I don’t know what it is. The thought of the gym has been exhausting and it’s been taking a toll on my workouts. I think it has to do with my knee hurting. I’m like a lost puppy if I can’t run…haha. No other cardio does the same thing for me. I think it’s time to start looking for something new or maybe I should get into spinning again? I just need to figure out how to work it into my schedule. Usually, the gym is something I look forward to, but with all this incline walking, I’ve needed to do a lot of “talking myself into it” kind of things. Eh, I’m not worried about it, really. I get into these gym funks every few months and then I start a new fitness routine and re-fall (is that a word?) in love with the gym.
