Happy Friday, friends! I hope you have some fun weekend plans on the horizon! As for me, much of my weekend will be spent in transit. We will be making the 4 hour drive from Key West to Miami tomorrow, and then I have a nine hour flight back to Madrid overnight Saturday-Sunday. Fun stuff! But really, I am very excited to be reunited with Luis, although my parents and I have been having an INCREDIBLE time here in Florida. As soon as I get this posted, I am going to head out and enjoy more of the sunshine before meeting up with my parents for our last evening/ night in Key West.
Here are a few things from the last few days…
We visited the southernmost point of the continental US, which was pretty cool. Just an easy 90 mile swim to Cuba…
We went snorkeling 7 miles out into the ocean! And I didn’t vomit, so that was a raging success.
We’ve been eating a lot of good stuff, from Cuban food (mostly) to burgers and salads. I have been doing my best to stick to salads and lighter fare, but everything has been great!
And can we just talk about these pralines for a second? Holy moly, so so good.
We’ve been enjoying watching the sunset each night. They even have an hour long festival each night to celebrate the sunset, complete with music, shows, and food. And of course, the sun setting over the water is breathtaking.
Lastly, here are a few more photos from our last few days- everything from a chicken crossing the road (why do they do that?!?) to the famous Key West Duval street, to my two favorite people.
With that, I am off to enjoy the sunshine! I wish you all a wonderful weekend and I’ll catch up with y’all back in MADRID! Happy Weekend!
