How was everyone’s long weekend? It was sticky, hot, and humid here, but we managed to get out and about (despite having work for 8+ hours every day of the weekend). I don’t have much to say about this weekend, but I have a few photos to share.
Saturday
I worked, worked, worked all day from 9 am-8 pm. It was a long day, but flew by quickly and wasn’t so bad. Holla at those 1/2 hour and 45 minute breaks throughout the day.
Saturday night, we went to a friends house for a BBQ, fire, and beers.
Sunday
Sunday started with brunch with Russ’ family at Sabrina’s Cafe. I only wanted eggs and potatoes because I’m boring, according to Russ. My food was good, but the french toast was the most impressive thing on the table.
Sunday was also notable for being MY LAST DAY AT THE POOL!!!!!!
Monday
I woke up late Monday morning, headed to the gym with Russ and my pops, showered and ate protein shakes (really delicious ones- made with Vega protein powder, banana, cocoa powder, peanut butter, and milk- tasted like ice cream!)
We had plans to spend the day with my parents at a nearby lake, but the swamp a$$ humidity made us change our minds.
Instead, Russ and I took advantage of Labor Day sales and went shopping with Mae. I’m super happy with my purchases and excited for some fall weather up in hurrrrrr.
Monday night was the best part of the weekend. Russ and I went back to the pool for an end of the summa/ Labor Day BBQ. There was food, drinks, Boxball, and water polo. I got 5 points for our team and if you know me at all, you know this is a HUUUUGEEEEEEE deal! I always get picked last for sports, so this was big. My plan of attack was to hang out in back, near the goal, while everyone else chased the ball around and tried to drown each other. No one stayed near me because I’m usually the one that can’t play sports. People would pass me the ball and then I just plopped it in the goal. Mwahahaha 🙂
I was feeling very thankful on Monday, for being able to do what I was doing, for having Russ with me.
Ok…guess I didn’t have as many pictures as I thought…. 🙂
