Hi! I hope your weekend is going well and you have been able to spend a lot of time soaking up the sunshine!
I spent the day yesterday soaking up plenty of sun because I went to the Luke Bryan concert at the Susquehanna Bank Center with a few of my friends. I have been to a few concerts at the Susquehanna Bank Center and last night’s concert was definitely up there!
My dad dropped me off at the train station around two and I took the train downtown to meet up with my friend Claire and her boyfriend, Steve, to catch a ride to the concert. There is a new rule in place at the SBC that says that anyone that isn’t in a vehicle isn’t permitted to enter the parking lots to go tailgate, so that meant I couldn’t take the train all the way there, like I had originally planned to do. Personally, I don’t think it is wise for the SBC and Camden to discourage the use of public transportation to and from these events, but that’s a whole other story. I’m so glad that Claire and Steve were willing to pick me up, even though it was a little out of the way!
After we found each other, we crossed the bridge and got to the SBC fairly quickly! We were lucky, because I’m sure there was a ton of traffic shortly after we got there. (We weren’t so lucky later, unfortunately.)
We paid, parked and then started the afternoon’s festivities and shenanigans! It was super hot out, but that didn’t stop anyone from having a good time…
Once the rest of our friends arrived, we left our parking lot and met them in their parking lot, where we spent the afternoon hanging out, talking, and of course, taking pictures.
The concert didn’t officially start until 7, so we made our way over a little after 7, found a spot to throw down our blankets and hung out there for the rest of the night! The concert itself was so much fun, with everyone dancing and singing along with Luke Bryan and Florida Georgia Line.
The concert was amazing and SO much fun, but we left a few songs early to avoid the traffic. Too bad that plan didn’t work at all! We sat in a lot of traffic trying to cross the bridge- as in move-a-mile-in-an-hour traffic, which was a bummer. I actually ended up missing the last train home, and wasn’t really up for making three transfers, so I got off at Temple and stayed with Russ.
This morning, I woke up bright and early to catch a train home so I could meet up with a couple of friends for a run. I didn’t exactly think everything through and ended up getting on the wrong train, so I had to get off, go back, and come back home. What should have been a 14 minute ride ended up being over and hour and a half. Oops! It all worked out and I came home to a wonderful sight:
I have been talking about homemade waffles since our trip to D.C., where they had a waffle maker at the hotel breakfast. I mentioned waffles to my dad yesterday, and he actually went ahead and made them! He’s the best.
They were blueberry and banana and we topped them with syrup, chia seeds, and strawberries that were on their last leg. They hit the spot!
The rest of the day will be spent hanging out, relaxing, and a run in a little while!

I saw him in Houston not to long ago. I have been to many concerts but that was my first country concert and it was fantastic. He is a great performer!
Yeah he was awesome! I would definitely go to his show again
