Wow-ee these posts are taking a long time to write! If you missed it, HERE is the first day and a half in Prague.
Day two:
Unfortunately, there was predicted rain on our second full day in Prague. Our plans for the second day were to cross the river and head over to the Prague Castle, which dates to the 9th century and is the official residence of the President of the Czech Republic.
Step up your game, Obama.
We started the day with breakfast and then headed out into the gloominess (which made the buildings look even brighter).
We didn´t cross the famous Charles Bridge, which is actually FULL of tourists and people selling things to said tourists. We crossed one of the bridges nearby and I took pictures from either end of the Charles Bridge.
And then we walked up, up, up, through the town on the other side of the river.
This side of the river was much different than the side with Old Town Square. We walked and walked with intentions of getting to the castle, but the rain started to come in, so we stopped for photos and then coffee.
Doesn´t it look a bit like Portugal?
Once the rain stopped, we continued on our journey in search of the castle! Which is not a typical castle you would find at the top of a mountain, because it was- in fact- not at the top.
We didn´t go inside, but instead just walked around the grounds (it was closed by the time we got there…oops).
After the castle, we re-crossed the bridge.
Then we had dinner in a restaurant that served portions for the Victoria´s Secret Angels (small). Then ice cream because I was still hungry…
That was it for day two! My time on the library computer is ending in 3 minutes so I´m sorry (to my dad) for the number of typos that are definitely in this post. Will edit manana.
