Hey, hey!
I hope your weekend was fun and relaxing! My weekend wasn’t anything extravagant, but I like to share my weekends, regardless of what I do. As you know, Saturday was basically spent at the pool. One thing that’s exciting (for me) is that I did my first “triathlon-type” workout over the course of the day! I swam for about an hour (broken into three sessions), biked two miles and then ran about a mile and a half. I wasn’t planning to do that, but while biking home from work, I decided to swing by the place where Russ was hanging out and ended up giving him the bike while I ran home. It worked out well, despite all of his complaining ;). I was completely wiped when I got home and promptly fell asleep after stuffing dinner into my mouth. Crazy Saturday night, huh?!
Sunday started on a bright note with Family Brunch!
Fruit salad with cantaloupe, mango, banana, cherries, watermelon and fresh mint.Waffles topped with homemade whipped cream and a drizzle of syrup. Waffles are so, so good and come in a close second to French toast. The whipped cream really helped make this brunch feel special (and fancy). I think I’m going to try making scones for next weeks brunch, but we shall see how they turn out.
I spent Sunday at the pool, but didn’t do much all day since it rained for the majority of the day.
After work, I drove to Russ’ apartment and officially sealed the deal on a new (used) camera!I think we got it for a great price and I am SO EXCITED to have a camera besides my phone. Now, to just find a lens….
We started watching Monsters University, but I couldn’t keep my eyes open for more than a half hour. I’m such an old lady sometimes.
I went for a five mile run this morning in the rain and then did a butt workout and some ab stuff! It was noon by the time I finished everything, so I was starving and threw together breakfast.Oatmeal with Honey Bunches of Oats, Cheerios, banana and blueberries. Hit the spot!
Russ and I spent the day running errands and such. We tried to sell clothes at a thrift shop that buys clothes, but they barely offered any money to either of us. I scored a brand new dress for $6.00, so you win some, you lose some. I have a serious addiction to summer dresses.
