This isn’t even half. I was literally surrounded by pie.
First and foremost, I am thankful that yesterday was Thanksgiving and I don’t need to look at or think about pumpkin pie for another year. WHAT DID I GET MYSELF INTO?!
Also, since yesterday was Thanksgiving, I thought it would be a good time to take note of the things I’m thankful for, since there are so many wonderful things. Although…it’s hard to see past this Thanksgiving pie exhaustion haha. This week, I have been doing presentations about Thanksgiving in my classes, and while mostly it’s just to show pictures of the amazing food we eat, I have also been asking the students what they are thankful for. The overwhelming response? “my mobile phone“. (KILL ME)
(These are in no particular order)
- My family. First and foremost, they are my number 1. My ride or dies 😉
- My health. And the health of my family and homies.
- My ability to live and work in Spain. I’m like a broken record, but I love my life. This life. If you want to travel and explore, you should do it. Stop waiting, and go.
- My friends. I have a handful of really close friends who I love dearly and even with oceans between us, we can pick up like we never left off.
- Luis. He is like a flotation device and so, so special to me. My life in Spain, and in general, would be so much less fun, less adventurous, and less rich without him in it. And I would be eating far fewer buggy creatures from the sea (see Lyon post for reference) 😉
- Teddy. I MISS YOU.
- My love for cooking, baking, and trying new things. When people tell me they don’t like to cook, it’s always so shocking. Cooking and experimenting in the kitchen is one of my favorite things.
- The Auxiliar program in Spain, from the opportunity to do this, to the healthy stipend they provide.
- This girl named Maeghan that invited me to her Thanksgiving without meeting me before. I was probably the best friendsgiving I have ever been to and I didn’t even know them. It was so nice to sit around and talk and laugh and stuff myself to the gills, but to also feel like a part of something during the holidays. I’m very thankful for that.
- Each and every one of YOU that reads my blog and supports me. Except all of you robots that spam me! GTFOOH.
