Abolea
- Address: Calle de Sandoval, 10-12, 28010 Madrid
- Atmosphere: Bright, clean, white walls with colorful accents. It feels ‘healthy’ because there are fruits and vegetables and granola as decoration.
- Type of food: Healthy- lots of bowls, egg dishes, plant based dishes. Focus on color and produce.
- What we ordered: We went for brunch, so we tried the Acaí bowl, the bagel sandwich, and the eggs Benedict. All three were good, but not amazing. Luis has gone for their menu del día, which includes a soup of the day, as well as one of their bowls, which is always on the menu. They offer various bowls, but it is a much better deal to get it mid-day.
- Other recommendations: Luis likes their vegetarian bowl.
- Tips: Go for menu del dia (check online to see which bowl they offer on what day) and then go on that day because for almost the same price, you get a soup and a dessert with it. It’s a better deal.
- Would I recommend it?: Yes, if you are looking for an open, bright, clean place with healthy food.
- Would I go back?: Yes, but not for brunch. I would try the menu del día.
Rating: 7/10 for food, 10/10 for atmosphere
