- Address: Calle de Velázquez, 80, 28001 Madrid
- Atmosphere: Warm, mood lighting. Energetic atmosphere. The place feels trendy, and modern. This is the type of place where you go to socialize, eat fancy- looking plates, but not necessarily eat a lot.
- Type of food: Typical ‘modern’ Spanish, like fancy croquetas, rice dishes, meat dishes. There is tortilla, various tartars, etc. It is a very complete menu with salads, fish and seafood, meat dishes, rices and pastas. HERE is the menu.
- What we ordered: We were 6 people total, so we ordered various dishes to try included the artichokes (very good), mushroom risotto (very rich and tasty), mini salmon tartar (good, but very small), croquetas ‘de luxe’ with truffle (very good, but also $$).
- Other recommendations: I think the truffle tortilla would be a great option and very filling for a group. The Hawaiian poke also sounds good.
- Tips: Make a reservation, as the place fills up. Don’t go here if you are expecting to eat a lot. The place is pricey and more of a place that makes you feel cool for being there, though the food is good.
- Would I recommend it?: Yes, for a trendy dinner.
- Would I go back?: Probably not, but only because there are so many other places to try.
Rating: 9.5/10 for food quality, 7/10 for portion size compared to price, 10/10 for atmosphere
