Surprise! I went to the United States, just for a little rejuvenation, relaxation, and some re-charging. I was there because a good friend was getting married that week, which ended up being the perfect excuse for playing hooky for ten days! I was there for only ten days, which were ten days full of lots of emotions, mostly how it’s so strange that life can feel so…split, when you live in two countries. And so short. I guess that’s the nature of having worlds in two time-zones, but I have been doing a lot of thinking! Maybe I’ll get into that, but for now, I wanted to share a few things I noticed as soon as I got back to the USA, that you don’t see (or see less of) in Spain/ Europe.
// People don’t know how to properly use the escalator.
// Dunkin Donuts. In Spain, it’s Dunkin Coffee. Guess those Spaniards love them some cafe.
// Big, yellow school buses.
// My mama cooking!!! Oh, how I missed this!!!
// American flags. I noticed them everywhere! The airport, the street, businesses, houses.
