Russy’s Birthday Weekend

HEY!

Remember me?!  I didn’t mean to take that little hiatus last week…and this week, but everything was so unbelievably crazy (and still is!), that I just couldn’t find time to say hi over here.  Things are slowing down a bit, so I plan to get back on schedule.

I am still incredibly swamped, but I wanted to share some pictures from this past weekend since it was Russ’ 22nd birthday!  If you’re wondering, yes, he is feeling 22!  As a matter of fact, Russ AND his twin brother-Matt, are feeling 22!photo (1)

[It’s concerning how much that picture makes me laugh.  It doesn’t make anyone else laugh!]

It feels like we crammed a lot into one short weekend, and Russ had a lot of fun 🙂  It sure wasn’t anything compared to last year, but it was just as much fun.

The weekend started on Friday with Indian food with Russ and his grandma, followed by cupcakes I picked up from a local bakery.

On Saturday morning, we started the day off with a run.  Russ covered 2 miles and then went to play basketball while I covered an additional 3.  We waited for Tevin to arrive and then the three of us went to PYT Burger- a popular burger place that Russ really likes.photo 1 (4) photo 1 (5)photo 2 (6) There was awesome weather on Saturday, so it was great to sit outside and eat.  photo 2 (2)

That’s Tevin’s burger- a bacon cheese burger with a glazed donut for a roll.

I had the veggie burger-it wasn’t anything special, but I liked Russ’ burger 🙂photo 3 (2)

And while I slipped away to use the bathroom, they took a billion selfies…

After quickly picking up some drinks, we headed home to get ready for the night out!photo 4

Once we got home, the real fun began.  A bunch of Russ’ friends came out to celebrate so after beer pong and hanging out at the apartment, we headed to the city and went to a bar called…I really can’t remember!- which was crazy packed with people and had awesome (loud) music.  photo 5 (3) photo 1 (1)photo 2 (3)

We didn’t get back until almost 3 am and after the mandatory 3 am mac and cheese bowl, I helped Russ get to bed.  [He needed some help after all those drinks… ;)].  While Russ slept off the alcohol, I started Sunday with a workout and then spent the rest of the day doing homework and eating dinner at home.  It was a fun weekend and went by wayyyyy too quickly!  Good thing the weekend starts again TOMORROW!

A very special happy belated birthday to Russy!  And THANK YOU to everyone that came out to celebrate!
