Checking In VI

Making: this cous-cous salad.  It’s so light for summer, but hefty enough to fill you up.
Cooking:  not much, but I have been making corn bread for the last week.  Yogurt-corn bread to be exact.  It’s so easy and so light!
Drinking: iced tea.  I make a couple cups of strongly spiced hot tea and then add more water and leave it in the fridge to get nice and cold.
Reading:  Americanah by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie.  My mom recommended it and so far I really like it!
Wanting: not really wanting too much of anything right now, which is nice so I can save some $$$.
Looking: forward to tomorrow.  I’m going to ITALY!  I can’t wait to share all of the details.
Eating: a lot of watermelon, peaches, cherries, and ice cream.
Wishing: for some of my energy back.  I have been zombie-tired for the last few days, for no apparent reason.
Enjoying: summer vacation! 🙂 the pool and the beach and the sun and the late sunsets and ice coffees.
Loving: bran flakes for breakfast.  what?
Hoping: that everything goes smoothly on our trip.  We are doing a lot of moving around and on a tight schedule, so fingers crossed things go well.
Listening: i have been listening to a lot of my music from high school and college- Bastille, My Chemical Romance, Jack’s Mannequin, and the Garden State soundtrack.  Also…reggaeton.
Feeling: anxious, excited.
Wearing: jeans, olive green t-shirt, strappy brown sandals.  First day in weeks that I have put on pants.  Spain has had such intense heat that if I even looked at pants, my legs would swell up like sausages.
Watching: You, Me, Her.  Just started it on Netflix.  I also just finished 13 Reasons Why and really liked it.
Bookmarking: these Italian Tomato Basil-Stuffed Zucchini.  but I would use chicken instead of sausage.
