Five on A Friday

A Spoonful of TLC

Hey friends!  It’s raining (it’s been raining, why won’t it stop?!) and I am typing this in between VIPkid classes.  I should get up from the computer and walk around, to get the blood flowing in my legs before another 3 classes, but y’all are worth the sore bum.  Anyway, popping in to share 5 random tidbits of juicy info to carry you through the weekend until your next *riveting* A Spoonful of TLC post on Monday.

1 // Thank you SO MUCH for all of the love over on Instagram

Walk Eat DieWalk Eat DieWalk Eat Die

You may or may not follow me on Instagram (and if it’s the latter, what are you waiting for?!  When you can’t get enough of my shining personality here, you can get it over there!), but this week Walk Eat Die came out with a blog post featuring the best bagels in Madrid and GUESS WHO GOT NAMED “BEST BAGELS IN MADRID”?!!!?????!!!??  Me!  Bruja’s Bakery!  The people at Walk Eat Die and I had connected a couple months ago and I have been patiently waiting to see their article, promising myself that I would take it in stride if I didn’t even make it into their post.  Then, this week, I was in New York for a day, sitting in Whole Foods, and I saw it had been posted.  I clicked the link and started strolling… I saw 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 places and nothing- meanwhile I am thinking I should probably ghost everyone, delete my Instagram, and hide in bed, but THEN! there at the bottom it said ‘best bagels in Madrid’!!!  And they even posted it on Instagram, which has earned me approximately 50 new followers in just under 24 hours and to say I am ecstatic would be an understatement.  I mean- look how many exclamation points I have used in this paragraph!  So anyway, thank you for the follows, the likes, and the messages you have all sent!  They mean so much to me.

2 // Why I am not in Spain yet – because I am waiting for a visa!

Yes, I am applying for citizenship, but I still do not have it, so I am currently waiting on a student visa.  Fingers crossed it comes this week because I have bagels to bake and tours to give and yada yada yada.

3 // I am going back to school! a spoonful of tlc

I was recently accepted (as in, today haha) to a 1 year program!  I’m not going to spill the beans on what it’s for yet, but I will!  I start in a couple weeks, and I am very excited!  Needless to say, I am going to be so busy this year…but it will be a good year!

4 // I have been…

…drinking: a lot of homemade almond milk, eating: the last of the summer peaches, reading: books on my Kindle (trying to put together a post of recently read), and watching: not much, but I did watch “Two Fat Ladies” with my Dad.

5 // I don’t have any super extensive weekend plans…A Spoonful of TLC

…but on Saturday I am having breakfast with Christine and her roommate, Kelsey and I am soooo looking forward to it.  Besides that, I will work, make bagels, and putz around.  Enjoy your weekend!
