Happy First Third Day of SUMMER!!!!

It doesn´t really matter how old I get, summer time is still as special and exciting as it always has been, and I still feel giddy thinking about long days at the pool and beach, lots of ice cream and beer, and just general time to have fun.  Summer is the best!  Summer officially started two days ago (with the equinox, which meant it was the longest day of the year, which means the days are now getting shorter, which means it´s almost winter!  How´s that for positivity?!)  Anywho, I don´t have a computer this week (I am typing this from the library) and did not have one last week, so I have a huge back-log of selfies and pictures of my breakfasts and salads that I am eager to share you are just about falling on the floor with excitement!  I´ll get to those in a sec.  But here is one to hold you over: 

Now that school has ended (unofficially….I just stopped going), I have been going to sleep too late and waking up too late (usually to the sound of some pigeon flapping it´s wings or pecking MY floor because it´s IN MY ROOM… #balconyproblems).  I have been working out (a little haha), hanging out with friends and other special person anddddddd dropping hints at random people to let me use their pool.

Summer Workouts

Last Thursday, after Kristen (my roommate) and I did a 30 min NTC workout and then 5 sets of hills in our neighborhood.  It was raining and a little bit cold so we decided that this “we are so hardcore” picture was necessary.

Last week, went for a morning run.  Outfit inspired by a watermelon.

“Nice face, Tamara!”.  Thanks!  I was TRYING to take a video of myself doing push-ups (haha), and accidentally took this photo and then did 15 push-ups and then realized the video never started and this was the photo.  Womp…  Then I made the same mistake 2 more times because I´m a dumba**.  (Happy, dad?)

After completing certain minute goals on NTC, they give you these “motivation posters” or something like that and I always screenshot them.  It says headstands, but these are most definitely HANDstands, NTC!

Summer Clothes

We all know my dress obsession runs deep, but this year, I have added rompers to that obsession too. This was after an English “lesson”. a.k.a glorified babysitting.

Mango salsa!  (Before being mixed)  I brought this to a BBQ with tortilla chips and everyone was like “WHAT IS THIS STRANGE FOOD??????????????”  I had no idea what to bring to a BBQ with Spanish people because everything is so strange to them, but everyone liked this (I think!) and it was fun! (see photos below)

Multigrain cereal and oats // milk // banana slices // coffee.  Sometimes you just want cereal and milk, right?

I went to the amusement park with my school!  It was their “end of the year” trip and as soon as I heard about it, I told them I wanted to go (even though I technically couldn´t go as a teacher since I am not technically allowed to have responsibilities haha.)  The week before the trip, I asked one of the teachers what I should bring (meaning, like…a bathing suit?) and she responded “Well, I am bring tortilla, and others are bringing empanada, ensaladilla rusa, chips, bread, cheese, meat, alcohol, …so you could bring some snacks!”.  It totally caught me off guard….so I brought fruit!  It was definitely different than U.S theme park food (sandwiches, chips, etc)

This breakfast was so good! Banana oatmeal “cakes” I made // melty peanut butter // and the sweetest fig ever (from a very sweet mom)! // and coffee

And last, but not least, I want to wish a VERY VERY VERY HAPPY FATHER´S DAY to my Dad!  My best friend, my #1 fan, supporter, blog-reader, blog-editor, and teacher.  I wrote on Instagram (because if you don´t write a public Father´s Day post for your Dad that doesn´t have an Instagram account and will never see the post, then you don´t really love your Dad!)…anyway, I wrote that there is only one man in the world that will ever be your Dad and I am so, so lucky to have the one that I have.  Given a chance to choose someone else, I would choose Bill Gates or the owners of Trader Joe´s.  Kidding haha.  I would still choose this one, 1000x over.  Thank you for everything that you do and I can´t wait to celebrate this summer!
