New Year Bucket List Dreaming: The Destinations To Add

Hi Everyone!  I’m back with another post to share with ya’ll that is just so relevant right now!  A collaborative post containing lots of places to add to your 2019 Travel Bucket List!  I was just thinking about where I want to go this year, so this is perfect timing!  As always, thank you for reading and for supporting A Spoonful of TLC.

Travel can often be something that more people want to do when it comes to the new year. Making it a goal to see new places or take more vacations with the family can be a great resolution for the year. The big decision can often be where you want to go and what you want to do. This is when a bucket list can come in handy as a point of inspiration and a guide to remind you of the places you actually want to see. It could help you avoid panic booking or visiting the same place twice. Here are some suggestions to inspire you to create your own travel bucket list.

Singapore

Singapore is an island city state in Southern Malaysia and is quickly becoming a popular destination for people wanting something a little different from their holiday. It is a global financial center with a tropical climate, and a multicultural population. Staying in the heart of the city would be advisable, and looking into rentals such as HDB flats could be a great idea. A highlight would be to head to the chinatown, where you will find the red-and-gold Tooth Buddha temple, which is supposed to house one of Buddha’s teeth.

Japan

An island nation in the Pacific ocean, Japan is another location that is very popular at the moment, and could definitely be a memorable vacation for sure. With beautiful imperial palaces, many shrines, and fantastic cities to explore, there really is something for everyone here. Tokyo, Japan’s capital is one of the popular destinations to visit and the city is bustling with plenty to see and do. Sites like the National museum and the beautiful landscaped public gardens are recommended destinations.

Australia

Australia is such a vast country that you no doubt already have a few destinations on your list to see here. However, it is worth mentioning some of them again to make sure they aren’t missed. Let’s start with Melbourne, the capital of coffee culture and voted to be the world’s most liveable city. You have Sydney, with iconic sights such as the Sydney Opera house. Additionally, Brisbane and the Gold Coast, Adelaide and Perth are destinations that are not to be missed. Don’t forget the Great Barrier Reef. If you haven’t got any of these locations your bucket list, what are you waiting for?

The USA

The USA is massive, with fifty states, meaning an entire blog post could be dedicated to it . Of course, being from there, I know this only too well. While there is a lot to see, there are certain states that I think should be on anyone’s bucket list. California, for example, with Los Angeles and San Francisco. Then there’s Nevada with the original sin city-Las Vegas. You have New York, where people go to stand on top of the Empire State Building. Of course, there’s Florida, Hawaii, and Alaska, to name a few more. Do some research and you are bound to find a location in the US that you will want to see and explore.

Europe

There are many different countries in Europe that are worthy of your bucket List. We have the united Kingdom, specifically England, with the fabulous London town. You have Spain and France, and beautiful Italy. For any Italian food lovers out there, Italy is the place for authentic pizza and pasta. You have the likes of Germany as well, which is a hit at Christmas thanks to the amazing markets in some of the local towns and cities.

South America

South America often doesn’t normally get a mention in bucket list-type posts, but this could be a mistake. Brazil, specifically Rio De Janeiro is definitely a place to add to your bucket list. The carnival season is flamboyant and colourful, and climbing up to get a picture with Christ the Redeemer is a highlight for some people.

Canada

Canada is a another country that is easily forgotten, even though it is so large. With fabulous cities, such as Vancouver or Toronto, it should be up there as a contender for your travel bucket list. During the winter, in some of the snowy regions, there are amazing opportunities for skiing and snowboarding.

China

Finally, another Asian delight, China. With a wonderful city like Beijing, you are destined to have a great time there. Chinese food lovers will love the authenticity of the restaurants, and if it is a great wonder of the world you want to see, then the Great Wall of China has to be up there as a place to visit and witness at least once in your lifetime. Some people even trek the wall for charity.

Let’s hope this list has given you some food for thought for your new year travel bucket list.
