Other Things I’ve Been Up To

A Spoonful of TLC

Hi friends!  I’m back with another photo dumpish post for you!  Wooooohoooooo!  As you know, I am home visiting my parents and have been in the USA for almost 5 weeks (crazy!), but I have been having great time here and I’m a teeny tiny bit sad to be leaving (Hi Luis, yes I miss you too!).  Anyway, here is what I have been up to…

I have been eating so well.  My Mom’s kitchen is actually is my favorite restaurant in the entire world.

Speaking of eating well, my good friends Ancy and Chris invited me over for a little date!!  They made a delicious dinner (seriously, so impressed!) that included chicken, quinoa, roasted veggies, a salad, wine, and Chris’ homemade bread.  I mean, does it get any better?!  I felt spoiled.  After dinner, our date continued with a movie- we saw Crazy Rich Asians and I really liked it.A Spoonful of TLC A Spoonful of TLC A Spoonful of TLC

I look like death in the above photos, but that’s ok.

I’ve known Ancy since elementary school and she and Chris just got MARRIED!  I think they are my first ‘married friends’.

My parent’s and I watched The Greatest Showman.  I saw it earlier this summer and I knew they would love it (and they did!).  Watching movies with my parents is one of the images that come to mind when I think of ‘home’.A Spoonful of TLC

I’ve been going on lots and lots (and lots…) of walks!  Some with my parents, some alone.A Spoonful of TLC

There have been an abundance of bagels baked and eaten.  They are actually eaten faster than I can keep up!  Fun fact: while my mom was eating this, I said “oh my gosh!  What IS THAT?!” And my mom looked away and I took a bite 🙂 A Spoonful of TLC

Hey STARBUCKS!  Want to contract me as your resident pumpkin bagel maker?!

I had breakfast with Christine and Kelsey!  Christine and I have been friends since college and I met Kelsey through her.  We chatted for a few hours over omelettes and eggs benedict and breakfast sandwiches and it was so, so nice.  Conversations with them are the kind of conversations that fill you up.  Come to Spain, guys!A Spoonful of TLC

Dad and I went out for breakfast!  We have done this every year since I moved to Spain and it’s always a special meal for me.  Not to worry, the bagel was mediocre but the sandwich was delicious.A Spoonful of TLC A Spoonful of TLC

Being away from home for long periods of time is usually ok, but being away from my parents is, by far, the hardest part.  I’m glad we get to have these special times together when I do come home!  Love you, Dad.

And for fun… some pictures of baby peppers and Teddy.A Spoonful of TLC
