Hello, hello!
Another weekend in the books (*tears*), but we are only 3 days away from the next one, so just keep on chuggin’! We will get there.
This weekend was fannnntastic, as usual. It started with my favorite cozy breakfast on Friday morning:
oatmeal // milk // cinnamon // Stevia // banana slices // strawberry slices // raw almond // cafe con leche
That little bowl did a fantastic job of fueling another AMAZING Body Combat class. Seriously LOVE this class. It’s so high energy and fun and leaves me completely sweaty and sore.
Here’s the cool down song the teacher played. Currently loving it.
Can’t start the weekend on a better note.
Unfortunately, it rained the whole weekend, so Annie, Kristen and I did normal rainy day things. More coffee, first.
And then we went to the movies! We were going to see Hidden Figures, but last minute (seriously, in the line) decide to see 50 Shades Darker.
I read all three books in like, 5 days, a few years ago but haven’t seen any of the movies. It was a little… over the top, but still held my attention the entire time 😉
After the movie, we headed home and I did some work here on the blog (peep the new Travel section up top!!) and then made some dinnah.
If you’re interested in the recipe, it’s in the post before this one 🙂 It was a good one!
On Saturday, I dragged my behind out of bed and went to GAP class (glutes, piernas y abs) and true to form- my legs are still not completely healed. I met a friend for the class and then we went to a local coffee shop for a quick cafe con leche and some gossip.
Another rainy day, so after coffee and a shower, I had a very orange lunchy/ snack.
Then nap / job searching / and get ready for a night out!! My good friend, Megan, invited me to an impromptu bachelorette party/ Valentine’s Day party.
This girl doesn’t mess around when it comes to having parties. She decorates, provides dinner, THE WORKS.
She is the best, and all of her friends were so sweet for including me.
And look at this awesome dinner they made!!
A super good spread of enchiladas, chips, guac, and rice. And….. vodka-cranberry-soda things. They were so good…and dangerous.
I got in some good doggy snuggles (Teddy, if you’re reading this, I love you to the moon and back and I’m sorry)
One of us wasn’t completely sober.
It was part bachelorette party and part Valentine’s Day, so we took the obligatory photos.
Is that what it’s like to be in a sorority? Haha
On Sunday, I woke up feeling like…10,000 bucks…as opposed to a million. Haha.
Anyway, after lots of water, I started feeling better so I got my life together, went for a walk, showered, prepped salads for the week, and then with Luis to see his ALMOST FINISHED AMAZING APARTMENT.
So, so exciting!! Then dinner, blah blah blah, Sunday blues, blah blah blah.
But here we are- already at Tuesday. Sometimes I think the work week is much like running a race in high school. I used to build it up SO MUCH to the point of having a lot of negative feelings, and then it would begin and it wouldn’t be so bad (of course it’s mildly uncomfortable while it’s happening), but then before you realize, it’s over. And it wasn’t so bad. And I tell myself “I can do this again!” And then Sunday comes and I’m like nooooooooooooooooo.
Here’s to a quick a relatively painless week. Kisses for you all and wishing you a very, very
Happy Valentine’s Day!!!
