Weekending.

Good Morning Everyone!

I’m a little bit late on the weekend post, but yesterday was spent painting my room.  Painting is seriously no joke.  My back hurts.  My hands hurt.  My shoulders hurt.  My feet hurt.  My hair is full of dust.  It’s nowhere near finished, but I’m excited the share the final look!

Since I’m on winter break, the days blend together and it’s hard to discern weekday from weekend, but here’s what these last few days had in store:

On Friday, I don’t think I did much besides prep my room for painting and go on a 30 minute run with Bethanne.  The rest of the night, I watched TV with Russ and just relaxed.  I think I went to bed early, but I really can’t remember.

On Saturday, I woke up bright and early to go to Home Depot for paint.  Before that, we needed some fuel.

I ended up getting two small paint samples at Home Depot.  I’m glad I did because when I put them on my wall, I decided they were too dark for my liking.  Before painting, however, I went for another run with Bethanne and then had lunch!  This sandwich wins for the Most Random Combination of Food Ever.  All you are seeing in the photo is peanut butter, cheese, olive oil, tomato, salt and pepper.  After the photos, I add lettuce and maple syrup.  It was deeeelicious.

I spent Saturday afternoon painting and then I relaxed in front of the TV watching Blackfish.  This is a public service annoucement:  IF YOU HAVEN’T SEEN THIS MOVIE, YOU MUST WATCH IT.  I have not stopped talking about it for three days.  It’s about the incident in Orlando, Florida when Tillikum, the Killer Whale at SeaWorld, killed one of the trainers.  The documentary also discusses other trainer deaths as well as the process of capturing and breeding them.  It’s a must see.

By the time the movie was done, (and I was permanently turned off from SeaWorld), dinner was ready and it was one of my favorites!

On Saturday night, I headed down to Russ’ apartment and then we drove to Manayunk for  Noel’s birthday.  The picture quality is pretty awful.  You’ve been warned.

I had never been out in Manayunk, but there is no shortage of bars.  We went to a couple while I was there and we had fun at both!  I would love to go back for dinner and to check out more of the bars.

By the time I got in bed, it was 2:30 a.m. and I set my alarm for 8:00 a.m. to make egg nog french toast with dad.  I was absolutely exhausted, but it was worth it 🙂

Dad and I had plans to go shopping for a few things for that evening, but before that- I was in dire need of a nap and he went to the gym.  When I woke up, we had lunch before heading out.

It was a good one!  We spent the rest of the afternoon at CVS and Acme to pick up ingredients for the Annual Cross Country Pasta Party.

This post is getting entirely too long, so I’ll put that up later today!
