WIAW: JUICE!

Happy, Happy Wednesday!

I’m back with yet another WIAW post.

Thank you to Jenn, at Peas and Crayons, for hosting each week.  Hop on over there to check out what other bloggers are munching on!

This week, I have been incorporating a little something new into my diet!  If you didn’t catch on from the title- it’s JUICE!

Not just any juice, freshly pressed fruit and vegetable juice.  When I went home last weekend, I asked my mom if I could bring our juicer back, since it doesn’t get much use during the winter.  She said no problem and thus, my juice was born.  😉

It’s only Wednesday, and I have already made three glasses.  It’s not realistic to think I will do this every day because from start to finish (cutting fruits and veggies, pressing, pouring, cleaning parts, etc.) takes 20-25 minutes.  It would be easier if I had a sharper knife/ a kitchen/ a bigger sink, but I don’t.  Anywho, it also takes A LOT of fruits and veggies for just one glass, so I intend to enjoy this nutrient-rich treat 3+- times a week.  MMMMMM.

You guessed it!  Juice!  This particular glass had spinach, carrots, tomatoes, peppers, 1 apple, 1 orange, 1/2 inch of ginger root, and a small piece of lime.  Ginger and lime gives it a nice kick!

Breakfast

You probably also guessed this too…oatmeal 🙂 with PB & J, banana, and plain yogurt.photo(157)Yucky-looking recycled photo..

Since I usually eat breakfast in class, a girl next to me asked what I always eat and when I told her what it was, she was shocked that I would eat PB with oatmeal.  Isn’t oatmeal just a vehicle for other things you rather eat?  I thought this was common knowledge!  Haha.

Lunch

Trying to save those meals…so 1/2 PB and banana sandwich, leftover juice from the morning.  I usually spread lunch out over the course of the day.  Sometimes my morning coffee makes me shaky and not very hungry…and this is one of those days!

Snacks (a.k.a continuation of lunch)

Apple.

Dinnerphoto(185)Spinach and ice berg salad with broccoli, carrots, chick peas, mushrooms, shredded cheese, a big slice of bread, lentil soup (too salty).

And…photo(186)Fruit!

After Dinner Snack/ Dessert

Potato chips and BBQ chips (we had a building social)

And a handful of m&ms!photo(188) (this handful x 5…I took this picture as an example to put in the post)

Okay, that’s it for this week!  I hope to get a whole post up about juicing.  Stay tuned 🙂
