10 Last Things

I am writing this as a shove a huge bowl of pasta salad into my face before I will be heading to the airport.  I’m taking 2 flights today- first Madrid to Barcelona and then Barcelona to New York and neither one of the airlines will be feeding me, so I am trying to stuff myself so I don’t look longingly at other people’s disgusting food on the plane.

Anyway, before I go rushing off, here are 10 last things.

0 // I’m done school!!! I took the same picture 9 months ago.  I did my presentation and it went really well and the professors were very impressed.  I got good feedback too.

1 // Yesterday Lee and I spent a couple hours together to pack his suitcase.  Not because I’m a nice person, but because I needed him to take some things back for me and he would only do it “if it fit” and it would only fit if I packed his bag so….catch 22.

2 // But he did buy me a beer and a piece of tortilla!  I will miss having him in Madrd!!!

3 // After packing for a few hours, I lugged two suitcases back to my place and then got to work on some bagels and also food for Luis because I feel like he will die without me (he won’t…I hope).

Breakfast smoothies ^

4 //  Then I got to work on packing.  I can only take 10 kilos on these flights which means I had to be very strategic with my packing and I am planning to line my coat with beans (that my Mom keeps asking for).

It’s no fun to pack for cold weather when summer just arrived!!!

6 // Speaking of beans, despite my Mom asking a billion times per week to get her the beans, I waited until the night before and until 10 mins before this INCREDIBLE market closed.  This was the first time I had been to Mercado Maravillas and I can officially say it’s my new fave.

7 // After we got the beans, we went to Retiro to sit by the lake and watch the sunset and listen to a guy play music.

I look SO tired!

8 // Luis got me flowers!!  And they’re beautiful!

9 // I handed off my LAST order for the next 4-6 weeks!  Bittersweet.

10 // I gotta run!  I will be back in the US around 9 pm Philly time (3 am Madrid time… gonna be cranky!) and I’ll be in Philly for just 2 days and then I am off to Santiago Chile!!!  I just started reading some blogs about it and now I am actually very excited for the trip!  I will keep you all updated with posts, rest assured 😉
