Friday Five: February 2018

Friday Five A Spoonful of TLC

Holy moly, does time fly or WHAT?  Here we are and it’s already Friday and I honestly don’t know where the week/ weeks have gone.  This week was a busy one – less so on the work front, but still busy.  Monday was a big catch-up day: e-mails, blog posts, bagel dough, class, etc.  Tuesday was super busy and a go-go-go day: running in the morning, baked bagels and dough after, 3 hour Madrid Market Tour, run home to make more dough, eat lunch standing at the counter, go to class, head straight to a networking happy hour until 11 pm.  BUSY!  Wednesday: blogging, meeting in the social security office (which had me going in circles….SPAIN!, working on my project, emails, class, and then drinks with classmates until 10 pm.  Thursday: e-mails and blogging, gym (finally! for the class I love), bagel baking, meet Luis for lunch, class, go home and SLEEP.  And that brings us to now – good ol’ Friday, which will include lots of dough making, some bagel baking, some errands, and hopefully seeing a friend.  The weekend is pretty open except for some bagel deliveries, but I’m hoping to include some fun in there.  I’ve really been wanting to go to the movies, so maybe that will happen.  Anyway, wherever you are and whoever you’re with- HAPPY WEEKEND!

1 // My next podcast: Dr. Death

I’m running out of podcasts episodes on my favorite podcasts, so I’m glad I found this one!  Here is the description:

We’re at our most vulnerable when we go to our doctors. We trust the person at the other end of that scalpel. We trust the hospital. We trust the system. Dr. Christopher Duntsch was a neurosurgeon who radiated confidence. He claimed he was the best in Dallas. If you had back pain, and had tried everything else, Dr. Duntsch could give you the spine surgery that would take your pain away. But soon his patients started to experience complications. And all they had to protect them was a system ill equipped to stop the madness. From Wondery, the network behind the hit podcast Dirty John, DR. DEATH is about a medical system that failed to protect these patients at every possible turn. Reported and hosted by Laura Beil.

3 // Can’t stop listening to: The Boxer, by Mumford & Sons

I have listened to this maybe 25 times in 3 days.

4 // Bruja’s Bakery now has a Google Page and a Facebook Page.

If you feel inclined, a nice review on Google would be very much appreciated, and a follow/ like on Facebook would be great!  For Google: Search Bruja’s Bakery and it will come up – you can leave a review there.

5 // I have been sitting here for 15 minutes and can’t think of a single thing.

About to shower, get dressed, and head out to get my nails done because they are Ratchet with a capital R.  Then out to lunch and then bagel baking and seeing a friend!  Happy Weekend!
